TECH-FACILITATED VIOLENCE

Responding to online abuse. Protecting privacy and safety.

Technology-facilitated violence refers to harm carried out or amplified through digital tools, online platforms, phones, social media, messaging apps, surveillance technology, or other forms of technology. This may include online harassment, threats, stalking, impersonation, doxxing, privacy violations, and the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

PATH assists with technology-facilitated violence matters that fall within our mandate. Our approach is trauma-informed and focused on helping clients understand legal options, preserve evidence, address safety and privacy concerns, and seek accountability where appropriate.

How We Can Help

PATH may be able to assist with:

  • Preparing civil claims, demand letters, or other legal materials where appropriate

  • Advising on takedown requests, reporting options, and safety-related steps

  • Identifying related privacy, human rights, criminal, or civil litigation issues

  • Providing trauma-informed support throughout the legal process
