PAROLE ASSISTANCE

Practical support. Clear guidance.

Parole assistance involves support with preparing for parole-related processes, including hearings, release planning, written submissions, and communication with institutional or community supports. The parole process can be stressful and difficult to navigate, especially when clients are facing barriers related to housing, programming, health care, family contact, institutional history, or reintegration.

PATH assists with parole matters that fall within our mandate. Our approach is practical, trauma-informed, and focused on helping clients clearly present their circumstances, progress, needs, and release plans to the Parole Board.

How We Can Help

PATH may be able to assist with:

  • Preparing for parole hearings

  • Drafting written submissions to the Parole Board

  • Supporting release planning

  • Communicating with institutional or community supports

  • Addressing barriers related to programming, housing, health care, family contact, or reintegration

  • Attending parole hearings as a parole assistant

What to Expect

If your matter appears to fall within PATH’s mandate, we may ask for more information about the parole issue, upcoming deadlines, institutional history, release plans, supports, and any relevant decisions or documents. From there, we will assess whether we can assist and what form that assistance may take.
