What does it mean to have a document notarized?
Notarizing is essentially witnessing and affirming that a document is signed by the individual named in the document. There are only specific people (notaries) who can notarize documents;, often they are lawyers or MLAs. Notary work may also include the notary certifying that a copy of a document is an exact copy of the original.
