Matthew Ryder
Matthew was called to the New Brunswick bar in June 2018 and has been practicing criminal defence ever since. Originally from St. John’s, NL, he moved to Fredericton in 2014 and spent seven years in New Brunswick before settling permanently in Halifax and being called to the Nova Scotia bar in June 2021.
Matthew’s main practice interests include Aboriginal Law and Criminal and Constitutional Law, however he has a general practice that includes Administrative Law, Cannabis Law, Civil and Small Claims Litigation, Contract and Corporate Law, Negotiations and Dispute Resolution and Wills and Estate Planning. He appears regularly at the Provincial Court level and also has experience at the superior court and small claims levels as well.
